BEES 2017 INDIVIDUAL TICKET LAUNCH A SUCCESS

FANS BRAVE COLD TEMPS TO PURCHASE 2017 TICKETS AND MERCHANDISE; INDIVIDUAL TICKETS NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE!

(New Britain, Conn., March 18, 2017) - Fans were not deterred by cold winter temperatures to secure their tickets to Bees games this season. New Britain’s opening day of ticket sales was held at New Britain Stadium on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

In addition to getting their tickets, fans also had the opportunity to stock up on new Bees merchandise from B. Hive & Co., the team’s official store. Items flew off the shelves as fans geared up for the upcoming season.

Eugene and Jennifer Mulcahy were the first fans to arrive, showing up hours before the New Britain Stadium Box Office opened. Jennifer had her mind set on showing up early.

“I was excited to see the turnout, and wanted to make sure I was the first in line,” she said.

“We love having a baseball team here in New Britain,” Eugene said. “It’s the only game in town that is family oriented, and it’s the best around.”

As the first fans to arrive, the Mulcahy’s received four tickets and will throw out the first pitch at Fan Appreciation Night on Sunday, September 10. Other fans that battled the cold conditions were treated to complimentary refreshments and had the opportunity to take pictures with Sting. Fans that purchased tickets were also randomly selected to win signed Bees baseballs throughout the event.

“It was a great turnout for the ticket launch,” Bees GM Gerry Berthiaume said. “Despite the conditions, it felt like baseball was in the air from the enthusiasm that our fans showed. We’re looking forward to opening night presented by Advanced Physical Therapy on April 21st!”
