2017 NEW BRITAIN BEES SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED
SEASON OPENS AT NEW BRITAIN STADIUM ON APRIL 21st, 2017 VS. YORK REVOLUTION
(New Britain, Conn., October 27, 2016) – The New Britain Bees today announced the dates and start times for the 2017 baseball season, the team's second year of play in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball at New Britain Stadium. The Bees will open up on April 21st, 2017 against the York Revolution.
The Bees will once again play 70 home games at the recently renovated New Britain Stadium, including 11 weekend series throughout the spring and summer. In2017, the Atlantic League's 20th Anniversary Season, the Bees will see the defending ALPB champion Sugar Land Skeeters visit New Britain Stadium 10 times, and face in-state rival Bridgeport in New Britain 10 times. The Bridgeport rivalry will be highlighted by the team's partaking in a special two-stadium day/night doubleheader on Saturday, August 19. Game one will be played at the Ballpark at Harbor Yard, with the team's convening for the nightcap at New Britain Stadium. New Britain will host the Somerset Patriots on the 4th on July for the Bees’ first ever Independence Day game, and cap the regular season off with Fan Appreciation Day on September 10th against Sugar Land.
The Bees will host school day games with a special 10:35 AM start time on April 26th vs. Lancaster and May 3rd vs. Somerset, as well as a special school day doubleheader against Bridgeport on May 16th starting at 10:35 AM. New Britain’s camp day games, with a special 12:05 PM start time for summer camps, will be on July 25th vs. Lancaster and on August 8th against Sugar Land.
Group tickets for the 2017 season will go on sale on November 9th, 2016. Group tickets start at just $5 for outings of 25 or more, and come with a variety of special features, including the Bees popular Dream Team, picnics, and more! Season Tickets and Mini-Plans for the 2017 season are on sale as well, with full season seats available for just $500 – just $7.15 per game at any seating level. Both Season Tickets and Mini-Plans come with great benefits, including special early entrance at all New Britain Bees home games as well as first pitch opportunities and mention in the New Britain Bees 2017 Commemorative Yearbook.
