BOBBLEHEAD GIVEAWAY, CRAFT BEER EVENT, LINDA COHN VISIT AND REDUCED PRICING HIGHLIGHT NEW BEES CALENDAR
(New Britain, Conn., July 6, 2017) – New Britain Bees team officials today announced additional promotions and price reductions for the second half of the 2017 season. The Bees return from the Atlantic League All-Star Break on July 14, and will play 32 more games at New Britain Stadium during the 2017 regular season.
While every home game is highlighted by a promotion (see weekly promotional schedule info below), the Bees have added several promotional nights for the second half of the season. NEW promo nights include the first-ever “Beers at the Ballpark” event on August 26 and the first-ever Sting Bobblehead Giveaway on September 9, featuring Central Connecticut’s favorite mascot! New Britain Stadium will also host a Pregame Summer Block Party on July 29, while SportsCenter legend and 2017 NSMA Hall of Fame Inductee Linda Cohn will visit New Britain Stadium to throw out a ceremonial first pitch on July 30. Sting will celebrate his second birthday on August 6 with mascot friends from all around Connecticut, and Coors Light will sponsor two cup giveaways on Thirsty Thursdays on July 27 and August 17. August 16 will be Princess and Superhero Night, and August 18 will be Scrubs Night, with a pregame Red Cross Blood Drive. The final weekend of the season features First Responder’s Night on September 9, and Fan Appreciation Day on September 10, with a special giveaway courtesy of KeyBank.
Theme nights will return to celebrate the diverse culture of Central Connecticut for a second straight season, and include Irish Heritage Night presented by Coors Light July 27, Polish Heritage Night presented by Stanley August 5, and Latin Heritage Night August 25.
In addition to the newly announced promotions, the Bees have adjusted ticket pricing for the second half of the season. A new family four pack is available for just $40, which includes 4 field box tickets for any game. Additionally, luxury suite rental pricing has been lowered to just $300 per game. The all new Party Suite, which holds 60 people, can be rented (based on availability) for a new low price as well. The Bees have also added a special birthday package for children 15 and under, featuring luxury suite seating, food, autographed merchandise, t-shirts and more! Finally, the Bees fabulous All-You-Can-Eat BBQ picnic prices have been reduced to $25 per adult, and $20 per child, from $30 and $25, respectively.
Popular weekly promotions will continue through the second half of the season. Each Monday is Dollar Day, with $1 hot dogs, chips, popcorn and ice cream, while all Tuesday games are Two-Fer Tuesday, with buy one, get one tickets online on nbbees.com. Wednesdays feature the YMCA Fun “4” Everyone Family Pack for $50, including four tickets, four hot dogs, four chips, four drinks, and a 10% discount at B. Hive & Co., while Thursday games are Thirsty Thursday, with half price domestic draft beer at every concession stand. Friday features Foul Pole Friday, with a chance to win $50,000, and Fat Tire Friday, with great deals and a chance to win prizes from New Belgium Brewing. Every Saturday game features postgame fireworks, and each Sunday is Schaller Hardware City Family Fun-Day, with full team autographs pregame and postgame Kids Run the Bases.
