BEES LOOK TO GET CLIBURN'S 1,600TH WIN AGAINST DUCKS

In 140 Characters or Less: Stan Cliburn takes his first crack at his 1,600th career win as the Bees look to sweep the Ducks! First pitch 6:35PM!

Series: The Bees have won each of the first three games of the four-game series against the Ducks and go for their first four-game sweep of a series tonight. The two teams play one more series this season, which will be at New Britain Stadium September 2-4.

The Bees: Of his 1,599 career wins entering tonight’s game, Bees’ manager Stan Cliburn is the winningest manager is the history of professional baseball in New Britain. As the manager of the New Britain Rock Cats for five seasons (2001-05) and the Bees this season, the former big leaguer has 484 wins while at the helm of a New Britain team.

The Opposition: Mike Blanke has hit very well in this series against the Bees. The former prospect of the Chicago White Sox is hitting .583 (7-12) over the first three games of the series with a double and two RBIs.

Key to the Game: The Four Horsemen- The top four hitters in the Bees’ lineup (James Skelton, Greg Golson, Jovan Rosa, and Craig Maddox) have been responsible for most of the damage done against the Ducks so far in this series. The four have combined to hit .392 (20-51) with two home runs, nine RBIs, and 11 runs scored over the first three games. The Bees will look to the top of their to continue their success against Duck pitchers as the Bees go for the sweep.
