BEES ANNOUNCE ADDITIONAL PROMOTIONS
BLOCK PARTY, COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF GREATER NEW BRITAIN NIGHTS, GIVEAWAYS AND MORE DURING THE SECOND HALF OF THE SEASON!
(New Britain, Conn., July 5, 2016)– New Britain Bees team officials today announced additional promotions for the 2016 inaugural season as the Bees kick off the second half of the season at home against the Bridgeport Bluefish on July 7th.
Each Bees home game is highlighted by a promotion, with weekly promotions taking place throughout the season’s second half. Fans will have the opportunity to win $20,000 with their Driver’s License on Match Game Mondays, purchase buy one, get one free tickets on Fox 61 Two-Fer Tuesdays (online only on the day of the game), participate in a chance to win $10,000 during the game on Winning Inning Wednesday and enjoy great discounts on domestic beer on Thirsty Thursday. On Foul Pole Fridays, a lucky fan can win $50,000 if a Bees player hits a home run off either foul pole, while Social Media Saturday can turn selfies into a great Bees prize pack. Sunday is Hardware City Family Fun-Day, and New Britain Stadium will host families for pregame autographs and postgame Kids Run the Bases!
In addition to the weekly promotions, the Bees will host a variety of special promotional nights during the second half of the season. On July 28th, the Bees will host a New Britain Block Party at New Britain Stadium, featuring live music and food trucks starting at 3 PM and capped off with an appearance by WWE Hall of Famer Bob Backlund! New Britain Stadium will also host the first Bees Battle of the Bands on August 5th, as well as the first ever Hardware City YMCA 5K on August 7th that ends at New Britain Stadium. The Bees have also partnered with Martin Rosol’s on a water bottle giveaway on September 3rd, with the first 500 fans through the gates at New Britain Stadium receiving a special Martin Rosol’s water bottle.
New Britain will also celebrate the diverse culture of Central Connecticut, hostingItalian Heritage Night on July 21, Irish Heritage Night on August 18th, Latin Heritage Night on September 3rd, and German Heritage Night on September 17th. The Bees will cap off the regular season with Fan Appreciation Day on September 18th, with great prizes and autographs for New Britain’s faithful fans.
The Bees are partnering with the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain in celebration of the Foundation’s 75th anniversary. Four promotional nights will take place beginning this Friday July 8 (Berlin), then also on July 29 (Plainville), August 8 (New Britain) and August 12 (Southington). Each Community Foundation Night will focus on the specific town, with the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain donating tickets to local youth groups and programs while celebrating those who aspire to make Greater New Britain a better place.
