The Bees: The Bees (64-63 overall) look to return to their winning ways after having their winning streak snapped at eight games in their loss in the second game of Saturday night’s doubleheader against Long Island. At 28-29 in the second half, the Bees sit just 3.5 games out of first in the Liberty Division with 13 games to play.

The Opposition: Lancaster enters this three-game set having won each of its past two series (three of five vs. Long Island, two of three at Sugar Land). The Barnstormers are 25-31 in the second half in the Freedom Division and are 60-66 overall.

New Britain- RHP Nate Roe (4-1, 5.60) | Lancaster- TBA

Key to the Game: Rested ‘pen— Coming off consecutive off-days, the Bees’ bullpen should be fresh and ready to go as the team embarks on a nine-game road trip, which is the longest of the season. The extra rest can only help a bullpen that has gotten off to a great collective start in September, pitching to a 3.19 ERA in 14.1 innings.
