Series: After taking game 1 from the Blue Crabs on Friday, the Bees continued their winning streak last night defeating Southern Maryland last night by a final score of 5-1. The Bees have currently won 3 straight and will look to make it 4 straight with a win in today’s season finale. The Blue Crabs have dropped 5 straight and will look for a victory in the regular season finale before the playoffs begin next week.
The Bees: The Bees will turn to RHP Kyle Simon in the final game of the 2017 season. With last night’s victory, the Bees have now won 3 straight and will look to end the season on a 4 game winning streak. In Simon’s last outing, he went the distance for his 6th complete game of the season, allowing only 1 un-earned run on 9 hits. James Skelton remains tied with Bobby Hill for most walks in a single season in Atlantic League history.
