Series: The Bees took game 1 last night by a final score of 5-1. Michael Crouse homered twice in the win, while Conor Bierfeldt blasted his team leading 21st home run of the season. Kyle Simon went the distance in game 1, earning his 6th complete game of the year. The Bees turned 5 double plays in yesterday’s victory. 
 
The Bees: Coming off a 5-1 victory last night, the Bees look to clinch the series. Michael Crouse hit his 18th and 19th home runs of the season, while Conor Bierfeldt notched his team leading 21st home run of the season. Kyle Simon went the distance, earning his 6th complete game of the year. Behind Simon’s pitching, the Bees were able to turn 5 double plays in last night’s victory. 
 
The Opposition: Somerset sends Mark Hamburger to the mound tonight, looking to even the series at 1 apiece. Hamburger is making his season debut for the Patriots tonight after being acquired from the St. Paul Saints of the American Association. Patrick Johnson was charged with the loss last night, striking out 10 over a 5 inning span.
