The Bees: Mike Lee made his first start of the 2017 season on the mound for the Bees in the game, pitching 3 2/3 innings, allowing 2 runs off of 2 hits and 2 walks, striking out 3 batters. New Britain got their lone run off of an RBI single by Jake McGuiggan. Jovan Rosa notched his team leading 6th double of the season in the game.

The Opposition: Starter Brett Marshall gave the New Britain bats some trouble throughout most of the game, only allowing 1 run off of 4 hits and 3 walks, striking out 6 batters. The Bees had the initial lead after McGuiggan’s RBI single in the 2nd, but they took it right back in the 4th starting with Anthony Giansanti’s RBI single after Kyle Simon came out of the bullpen in relief.

Starters- New Britain: Brian Dupra (2-0, 1.72) | Sugar Land: Bobby Blevins (1 0, 1.42)

Key to the Game- 3 runs or less: On the season, New Britain is 4-2 whenever they limit their opponent to just 3 runs or less in a game. One of those losses being the 10 inning walkoff win for the Skeeters in game 2 of the series, which had a 3-2 final score. Look for the Bees to follow the magical number of 3, scoring 3 or more runs while not allowing their opponent to score more than 3.
