BEES LOOK FOR WIN TO STAY IN HUNT FOR DIVISION TITLE

In 140 Characters or Less: The Bees look to move even closer to the Patriots in the Liberty Division tonight in game two of their series! First pitch 6:35PM!

Tickets: BUY HERE | Available at the New Britain Stadium Box Office | Call 860-826-BEES

Promotions: Tonight is Foul Pole Friday! If a designated Bees player hits a home run off of one of the foul poles during the game, one lucky fan will win $50,000! The Bees will also be hosting Sensory Friendly Night. As part of Autism Awareness Night, the Bees will present this game in a sensory friendly environment! Lastly, it will also be Colors of Cancer Night where the Bees will be raising awareness for cancer research and care throughout the game.

The Bees: Greg Golson has been shouldering a heavy load for the Bees’ offense in the month of September, batting .382 (21-55) with three doubles, a triple, a home run, and nine RBIs in 13 games.

The Opposition: Second baseman Eric Farris is hitting .438 (7-16) with two RBIs and four runs scored over his last five games, and is a .305 hitter in 16 games against New Britain this season.

Starters
New Britain- RHP Nate Roe (5-2, 5.71) | Somerset- RHP Will Oliver (6-2, 3.50)

Key to the Game: No encore— With the Bees needing to win each of their final three games to capture the second half Liberty Division title, the team will need to figure out a way to beat Patriots’ starter Will Oliver. Oliver shut out the Bees for seven innings while striking out nine in his start against the Bees on September 11, so the Bees will need to find a way to put together a better offensive showing tonight with the division on the line.

Broadcast: YouTube (youtube.com/NewBritainBees). The game can also be heard on WDRC AM 1360 (Hartford), as well as WMMW AM 1470 (Meriden), WWCO AM 1240 (Waterbury), and WSNG AM 610 (Torrington). Bees fans can also listen live by visiting www.talkofconnecticut.com.

Bees Buzz: Michael Crouse is one stolen base away from 60 on the season and 200 for his professional career…Closer Shawn Gilblair has made 12 straight scoreless appearances and has not allowed an earned run since August 24th against Bridgeport…Steve Carrillo is batting .316 (6-19) with a home run, four RBIs, and a pair of runs scored during his five-game hitting streak…
