BEES OPEN IMPORTANT SERIES WITH DIVISION RIVAL PATRIOTS

The Bees: The Bees open this series with the Patriots tied for the lead in the wild card race with the Sugar Land Skeeters with a 67-63 record. The Bees began their nine-game road trip by sweeping the Lancaster Barnstormers, and have now won nine straight road games.

The Opposition: The Patriots enter tonight’s game with the Bees on a four-game winning streak, and have won each of their last three series since dropping two of three to the Bees in late August. At 34-26, Somerset holds a three-game lead in the second half Liberty Division standings.

Key to the Game: Welcome Dylan— Acquired in a trade yesterday with the Sioux Fall Canaries of the American Association, Dylan Thompson makes his first start tonight as a member of the Bees. The right-hander pitched to a 3.38 ERA in 22 games (eight starts) while walking just 16 batters in 68 innings with the Canaries, and the Bees will hope that the right-hander carries that success over to the Atlantic League.
