At 28-29 in the second half, the Bees sit just 3.5 games out of first in the Liberty Division with 13 games to play. The Opposition: Lancaster enters this three-game set having won each of its past two series (three of five vs. Long Island, two of three at Sugar Land). The Barnstormers are 25-31 in the second half in the Freedom Division and are 60-66 overall.
Starters Key to the Game: Rested ‘pen— Coming off consecutive off-days, the Bees’ bullpen should be fresh and ready to go as the team embarks on a nine-game road trip, which is the longest of the season. The extra rest can only help a bullpen that has gotten off to a great collective start in September, pitching to a 3.19 ERA in 14.1 innings.
