BEES RETURN HOME, LOOK TO PUSH STREAK TO SEVEN VS. DUCKS

In 140 Characters or Less: The Bees return home looking to extend their winning streak to seven vs. the Ducks! First pitch 6:35PM!

Series: New Britain holds a slim 9-8 edge in the season series with Long Island entering play tonight. The last time the two teams met, the Bees won all four games against the Ducks at New Britain Stadium August 15-18.

Promotions: Tonight is Foul Pole Friday! If a designated Bees player hits a home run off of one of the foul poles during the game, one lucky fan will win $50,000! In addition, Erika Arias and Joe Furey from Fox 61 will be on hand for a meet-and-greet with fans! Following the conclusion of the game, the final pyrotechnics show of the season will take place!

The Bees: The Bees return home tonight after one of their more successful road trips of the season. New Britain won each of the last six games of the trip and went 6-1 overall against Somerset and Sugar Land. The Bees sit just three games behind Somerset in the second half Liberty Division standings.

The Opposition: The Ducks are in the midst of an eight-game road trip, with the first five games coming against Lancaster earlier this week. Long Island dropped three of the five games (including splitting a doubleheader on Tuesday) and enter this series with 24-29 record in the second half, which is fourth in the Liberty Division.

Key to the Game: Duck Season— The Bees will look to maintain their recent dominance of the Ducks as the team has won six of the last eight games against Long Island, including each of the last five. Look for the Bees to get out to a quick start against Ducks’ starter Bobby Blevins, who New Britain has hit well against this season (29 hits, 16 runs across three games).
