BEES LOOK TO EVEN SERIES AS THEY TAKE ON BARNSTORMERS

Series: Lancaster took the opening game of this series with a 9-2 win last night. After tonight’s game, the two teams play their final game against each other at New Britain Stadium this season Sunday afternoon at 1:35PM (the teams end their season series at Lancaster September 6-9).

The Bees: Michael Crouse is having a very strong homestand thus far, batting .333 (10-30) with two home runs, nine RBIs, and three runs scored in the first eight games of the homestand.

The Opposition: Former big leaguer Mike Jacobs has picked up at least one hit in all five games he has played against the Bees this season and is batting .348 (8-23) with two doubles, three RBIs and four runs scored in those five games.

Key to the Game: Roe upstream- Making his first start for the Bees his last time out, Nate Roe will try to duplicate his the performance he had on July 31 against Southern Maryland (6.1 innings, two runs) as he tries to prove he can be a consistent contributor to the Bees’ starting rotation.
