Key to the Games: The Stopper- In Jarret Leverett’s short time as a starting pitcher this season, the left-hander has proven to be up to the task of being the Bees’ stopper. In three starts he has made following a Bees’ loss, the left-hander has pitched has allowed just five earned runs in 19 innings pitched, good for a 2.37 ERA (he’s also struck out 17 in those starts). After dropping both games of last night’s doubleheader vs. Long Island, the Bees will need Leverett to put together another quality outing tonight.
