Six New Britain Bees players were selected for the 2025 Futures League All-League Teams when the league announced the recipients on Friday.

The First Team features two pitchers and two position players. Garret Garbinski (UConn/Clinton, CT) and Evan Mello (Wheaton College/New Bedford, MA) were two of the most reliable arms in New Britain this past summer, with Garbinski pitching to a minuscule 0.59 ERA across 13 appearances and 30.1 innings pitched, while Mello emerged as the team’s closer and picked up six saves en route to being named the Futures League Reliever of the Year.

Brennan Staubley (Southern CT State/Plainville, CT) and Colin Crowley (Winthrop/Southington, CT) were selected as the catcher and third baseman respectively. The pair were in the top two in nearly every statistical category offensively for the Bees this past summer, including games played, hits, doubles and RBI. Staubley hit .292 while splitting time between behind the dish and left field. Crowley hit .310, best on the teams amongst qualifiers.

The Second Team features one pitcher and one position player. Ben Oliveira (Wheaton College/Somerset, MA) led the team in innings pitched for the second straight summer with 45 to the tune of a 3.60 ERA. The right hander pitched at least five innings six separate occasions, netting a 1.95 ERA in games where he hit that benchmark. Camden Righi (UConn/Wethersfield, CT) provided a spark to the lineup once he arrived after his high school season. The CT Gatorade Player of the Year was tied for the team lead with three home runs and had a walk-off single in extra inning in Game 1 of the 2025 Championship Series against the Norwich Sea Unicorns to give the Bees a win in their first ever championship series game.
