Trailing 1-0 in the top half of the second inning, the Bees went to work against Brownell, sending ten batters to the plate, scoring six runs on six hits to take a 6-1 lead, highlighted by a three-run home run to right field off the bat of Jamar Walton and a two-run blast also to right field produced by James Skelton. New Britain made it 8-1 in their favor in the top of the third with Skelton providing the offense once again, plating Matt Tuiasosopo and Walton with a two-run double. Walton continued the onslaught in the top of the fifth with his second big fly of the night which gave the visitors a 10-3 edge. The home run derby concluded in the top of the seventh when Deibinson Romero cracked a three-run shot to left for his team-leading sixth roundtripper of the campaign to go along with his club-best 26 runs batted in, as the trio of Romero, Walton, and Skelton finished the game with a combined four taters and 12 men driven home.
