Series: The series began with a single admission doubleheader last night after some inclement weather postponed the game scheduled for Tuesday night. It ended with the Ducks sweeping the Bees by scores of 6-1 and 2-0. The final game of the series is tonight, beginning at 6:35 P.M.

The Bees: In yesterday’s doubleheader, several New Britain bullpen pitchers extended scoreless streaks, and Jordan Hinshaw made his Atlantic League debut in game 2. The 2014 rookie of the year of the Pacific League, who was signed on Tuesday, played right field. Out of the pen, Brandon Shimo pitched a scoreless inning of relief in game 1 and Brandon Fry did the same in game 2. Shimo extended his scoreless innings against the Ducks streak to 5, and Fry extended his overall consecutive scoreless innings streak to 7 1/3.
The Opposition: The Ducks offense was powered by Fehlandt Lentini in game 1, who had 3 RBI in the game, getting 2 of them within the first 2 innings. In game 2, Lew Ford took the lead, notching 2 RBI with a single in the 3rd inning, which would be the only runs scored in that contest. On the mound, starters Dennis O’Grady and Tim Melville, who started games 1 and 2 respectively, combined for 11 innings of 1 run ball, only allowing 8 combined hits. Melville set a Long Island franchise record with 14 strikeouts in game 2, the most ever by a Ducks pitcher in a single game.
