BEES TAKE ON PATRIOTS IN OPENER OF SEVEN-GAME TRIP

Series: New Britain enters this series with Somerset with a commanding 7-3 lead in the season series to this point. The last time the two teams squared off, the Bees took three of four games at Somerset at the end of June.

The Bees: Coming off a series win over Bridgeport, the Bees enter this series just five games in back of Somerset in the second half Liberty Division standings with a 20-27 record. Overall, the Bees are 56-61.

The Opposition: The Patriots begin the second half of their six-game homestand tonight after dropping two of three to Lancaster. At 25-22 in the second half, the Patriots hold a slim half game lead over Bridgeport for the top spot in the Liberty Division.
