BEES LOOK TO TAKE SECOND STRAIGHT OVER BLUEFISH

In 140 Characters or Less: The Bees take on the Bluefish looking for their second straight win! First pitch 6:35PM!

Series: The Bees tied the season series with the Bluefish at nine apiece with last night’s 4-3 win. After tonight’s game, the final game of the season series between the teams will take place tomorrow night at 6:35PM.

Promotions: Tonight is a Winning Inning Wednesday! The Bees will designate a specific occurrence during each inning and if the event occurs during that inning, one lucky fan will win $10,000! Simply sign up at the Bees Ticket Window on the concourse to be eligible to win. It is also Group Leader Night where the Bees will recognize group leaders throughout the night at New Britain Stadium.

The Bees: Over his last five games, Michael Crouse’s bat has been scorching hot. The former Blue Jay prospect is hitting .579 (11-19) with two RBIs and five runs scored while also stealing six bases without getting caught during that stretch.

The Opposition: Jose Cuevas continues to hit well against New Britain this season.  After picking up two hits last night, the Bronx, NY native is hitting .324 (22-68) and has picked up at least one hit in 12 of the 17 games he has played against the Bees in 2016.

Key to the Game: Lee(d) the way- The last time Mike Lee squared off against Bridgeport he surrendered just one earned run and struck out four in six innings of work on June 27 as a member of the Lancaster Barnstormers. The Bees will look for Lee to duplicate that performance in his start tonight against the ‘Fish.
