BEES TRY TO SQUARE SERIES WITH REVOLUTION

Series: York rallied late to take the opening game of the four-game set vs. the Bees 10-8 last night. The remaining games of the series- including tonight’s- will all begin at 6:30PM.

The Bees: New Britain’s offense is enjoying one of its best stretches of the season as it has averaged 5.1 runs per game over the last ten games. The bats of the Bees have also hit ten home runs while hitting .272 over that stretch.

The Opposition: Michael Rockett, a former 13th round draft pick of the Detroit Tigers in 2009, has been scorching hot of late, hitting .500 (8-19) with three RBIs and five runs scored over his last five games (including 2-4 with two runs last night vs. the Bees).

Key to the Game: Do It Again- The Bees faced off against Tony Pena just last week and put up seven runs on five hits in the Bees’ 7-3 win over the Revolution on August 4. The Bees will try to pounce early on Pena again as they look to square the series at a game apiece in this four-game series.
