A native of New Britain, CT, Springer joins the Bees' front office after working for the The Kingswood Oxford School in West Hartford as their assistant softball coach before joining Southern Connecticut State University as their assistant softball coach in 2015-2016 season. Springer is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University with a degree of Communications and was a collegiate softball player while attending CCSU, as well as a member of the Puerto Rican National Softball Team.
